It's what I use on -this- box. "Max out my USB ports?" makes me think you are trying to drain too many amperes out of the controller. What sort of things are you maxing it out with? If you insert a externally powered USB hub, you might be surprised how high the max-point can go. EG: I have a 4-port hub plugged into a machine. If I *don't* usurp the second port at the controller for auxiliary power, various things stop functioning. Also, as PQ explained, shuffling what is plugged in where can often clear issues. (Address conflicts???) When you "lock up" can you *not* just plug the KB alone into a USB socket and regain control? ...
