SH-> JG> chdir netmail2$

SH-> It happens more often in my experience that there really is a coding
SH-> error in an obscure little FUNCTION or SUB that changes or resets
SH-> NetMail2$ and that's where I'd look before assuming it's a problem
SH-> with your user's setup. Of course it may turn out to be his problem,
SH-> but since he's the customer, I'd tend to fix it & tell him about it
SH-> later when he's more satisfied with your program.
Thanks for writing, Stan. As it turns out, netmail2$ was set to:
"C:\NETMAIL\" and it tried to change directories but since this one user
had his netmail on a different DRIVE, I failed in the original version
to issue a CHDRIVE command! But to avoid having to issue all these
change this and that commands, I did this:
a$=dir$(netmail$+"*.MSG") 'this directly accesses the drive and path!
Problem solved. The whole thing was that this one user was running the
program from drive C:, his primary hard drive, and uses drive D: to
store his netmail via a partition weird setup. Now my program does not
change ANY directories during runtime and uses complete paths instead.
Magic!
Take care, and I enjoyed reading your comments!
