We have a  bbs user whose father was caught pirating software.  They still 
haven't gotten all the legal fees taken care of.  And the kid no longer talks 
about 'giving away' any programming or even making copies of demos for folks.
They lost a lucrative computer business because of it. And as far as the 
father's freedom, that's still up for grabs (they're still going through 
appeals!).
