RS ->Netto Novell Netware API Library 1.1 works with version 4.0 of
   ->Novell Netware, and required CA-Clipper 5.2 (or later), and
   ->Nanforum Toolkit.
As a clarification, Netto only works on Novell 4 if Netware is being
run in bindery mode emulation. Bindery mode emulation makes it act like
a Novell 3 server, and the advanced functions of NetWare 4.x aren't
available.
RS ->I cannot say what there is different in comparison to NetLib, as
   ->I have never purchased the library for my own personal or
   ->professional use.  The reason for the decision not to
   ->purchase the library is that I received Netto before I even
   ->got into Novell Netware API programming.
I have NetLib 6.5c and it also supports Netware 4 even when not using
bindery emulation. It also supports the smaller networks like Vines and
Lantastic, as well as Windows 95 and Windows NT networks. I, too, used
Netto but had to purchase NetLib when a large customer switched to
Netware 4.1 (even though they were running in bindery mode). Some of
the Netto functions simply didn't work anymore. One of them was the one
to get a user name, which I needed.
And NetLib is still supported whereas Netto isn't, and I don't want to
take the time to learn how to program the API functions myself when I
can get the customer to pay for the new library.
