Hello, Elwyn!
Replying to a message of Elwyn Goldsbury to Sean Dennis:
EG> BUT when the above is fired up my dial users can no longer
EG> download their mail -- they fail with a message as follows "
EG> 20 Dec 22:33:15 MAX Return from: "maxpipe.exe 3 zip -jk -b -4
EG> d:\ziptmp D:\Mail\Olr\node03\GENBOARD.qwk D:\Mail\Olr\node03\*.*
EG> d:\mail\olr\*" 20 Dec 22:33:15 MAX Archiver error
(errorlevel 255)"
Hmm... here's my SIO setup in CONFIG.SYS:
DEVICE=C:\SIO\SIO.SYS (COM1:38400,3F8,IRQ4,-)
(COM2:57600,INTERNET:2F8,NONE:3,-) (COM3:57600,INTERNET:3E8,NONE:4,-)
(COM4:57600,INTERNET:2E8,NONE:3,-)
DEVICE=C:\SIO\VSIO.SYS
DEVICE=C:\SIO\VX00.SYS
Also, here's what I have for the archiver:
Archiver ZIP
Extension ZIP
Ident 0,504b0304 ; "PK^c^d"
OS2 Add zip -9Dj %a %f
OS2 Extract unzip -Csoj %a %f
End Archiver
That works fine here for both dialup and telnet connections.
Later,
Sean
