I haven't seen much of the debates, but I do work in software for a
living and have a general opinion from that standpoint.  If you're
adding features and offering support, I totally see why you would
still ask people to register/pay for software.  It is your call if you
own the IP what you do with it, as long as you're not changing the
license agreement in major ways from what the existing customers have
already agreed to.  I'm a big fan of open source, but I also totally
dig the fact that people need to eat.  :-)

All the same, thanks for keeping GBBS alive.  Good luck in your
endeavor.
