Hello Bryce, BE> Has anyone out there got any information on artificial BE> intelligence, if so could you please have a talk to me. What have you read, apart from "Godel, Escher, Bach" and "The Mind's I" by Douglas Hofstadter. Have you ever played with Eliza? I've tinkered with an assembler version, adding speech output. BE> I am interested in this subject and studying it for a BE> hobby. Is there anyone else out there who is also BE> interested in A.I. It is a fascinating area, and it covers a lot of ground. A couple of months ago I wrote a simple learning program to play Noughts & Crosses. It was fun watching it slowly develop strategy. Or letting two progs play each other in the background for a few days till they learn to counter each other's strategy. I developed this in Rexx, but it could be converted to C without too much hassle.
