Hi! Matt, On 23/09/10 14:12, you wrote to me: MM>>> I have a usb keyboard and it has a tendency to freeze up in my MM> windows MM>>> box, is this more likely a memory issue? or should i try not to MM> max MM>>> out my usb ports? >> Do you mean a -real- box or a VirtualBox? :) MM> a real box. I had to ask since my wife's XP-Pro works in a VirtualBox 'appliance' and regularly suffers a keyboard freeze but I've found the fix for it. With a real hardware issue then I'd try an alternate USB socket; like ermm... switch the mouse & keyboard connections around. Failing that (and you might have already tried that anyway) you might try for a PS/2 connector, if you have a socket on the case rear, using a USB-->PS/2 adapter. It's what I use on -this- box. Cheers, Paul. .... I tried an internal modem, once, but it hurt when I walked. --- Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux i686; en-US; rv:1.9.2.9) Gecko/20100915 Lightnin* Origin: Quinn's Post - Maryborough, Queensland, OZ (3:640/384) SEEN-BY: 3/0 633/267 640/296 384 954 1674 712/0 313 550 620 848 800/445 @PATH: 640/384 954 712/848 633/267 |
