subject: Where and how to install SeaMonkey on Fedora?

From: Randall Parker

Just installed Fedora 5. Then I ran the package updater (found via Gnome's
Application | System Tools | Software Updater) and installed all new
packages. Was
that Yum?

Mozilla Firefox works and I used it to download Mozilla Seamonkey for Linux (that
uses GTK2).

You can find SeaMonkey here:
http://www.mozilla.org/projects/seamonkey/

Well, now what? Dumb questions:

1) Should I install it in a subdirectory of my home directory?

2) If not number 1 then should I log in as root in order to have the rights
to install it somewhere else? Or do I already have the rights needed to
install it elsewhere? If the latter then where, most likely, do I have the
rights to install?

3) Is there a good way to find out where in various directory subtrees my user might
have rights to create directories and files?

4) Does SeaMonkey keep the email data files and other data files under the
same directory node as the top node where SeaMonkey gets installed?
