I installed Gnome as part of Fedora 5. Got some questions:

1) Is there some way to get it to show a tree view of the directory tree like in
Windows? All I see under View is "View as Icons" and "View
as List".

2) If the File menu item "Create Folder" is grayed out is that
due to lack of permission for the directory one is in?
