Nothing that you can ever hear.

I played music for many years and set up alot of sound systems and would
NEVER think of taking an amp apart to put larger wires in it.

It's a good way to get you to spend $$$$ As long as the contacts are clean
it should be fine.
I like to meet the person that could hear the difference between gold and
 non gold contacts.

The only time you have to consider the size of the wire is ...
1> you run HIGH WATTS... like 200 up.
2> The speakers will be more than 20 feet from the anp. You naturally don't
want
to use the small wire like on some home chepie systems. If I have the
speakers
very far from the AMP I would use a heavier gauge of regular electric cord.
Like the king you would use to power a 500 watt light bulb.
I have set up amps with all of this in mind and have NEVER had a bit of
 trouble.

When I played music on the road I used two 435 watts RMS amps to power
everything.
The neat thing about a high power amp is that it usually takes LESS watts
to get the same sound. A small amp has to strougle while a big amp just
 coasts along.
Hope this was of some help.
