NB>> Wegmans makes pretty good meals, though... ;)
SD> I discovered that when I was in Williamsport often. When my company
SD> was using the Holiday Inn downtown, there's a large Wegmans within
SD> walking distance. My curiosity was piqued due to the discussions in
SD> here you've had about the store so I went over there and was not
SD> disappointed. To me, the prepared meals were a bit spendy--hey, the
SD> company was picking up my per diem tab!--but quite delicious. I had
SD> many a meal in my hotel room watching TV in bed after an exhausting
SD> 12-hour day (I had to work 12 hour days when I was working "remote";
SD> normally had to do a month or two's worth of work in three to four
SD> days).
And according to Michael, that particular Wegmans isn't even as good as
most of them... I've only been in it once, when I was enroute from
somewhere, and had my pregnant niece with me... she needed a potty/snack
stop, and it was convenient...
However, we regularly get Wegmans meals of one sort or another... we
generally eat there when we are in the store for our weekly shopping...
lots of choices, from pizza to sandwiches to their "EZ meals" to their
Asian or pasta bowls to sushi offerings... also there's soup and the hot
or cold self-serve bars... We always eat there, but one could as easily
take it out and eat elsewhere...
SD> The company then switched to another hotel located on "the strip" in
SD> Faxon with all of the fast food and sit-down restaurants as well as a
SD> lot of the major shopping. So I quit driving to Wegmans unless I was
SD> over on that side of town which I was occasionally.
Less convenient and you had other options out there.... :)
SD> I didn't mind Williamsport but it felt landlocked to me since I'm used
SD> to being on one of the "coasts".
You might feel less land-locked in Rochester, even though it isn't on
one of the coasts per se, it's on one of the Great Lakes, so it has more
of that sort of feel... ;)
SD> One of these days I'd love to go up to the Corning Museum of Glass and
SD> spend a few days there checking things out.
That's a pretty neat place... I've been there a few times, and enjoyed
it each time.... lots to see there... :)

... I'm not loafing, I'm doing research on inertia.
