Many thanks! I've added that to PDMAST.TXT...

Public Domain Master Catalogue Index

This document was originally written by Paul Edwards and is released
to the Public Domain

This file contains a list of places where you can find listings of
public domain software. It is only a reference to other listings.
The purpose of this document is not to list the public domain
software itself. There is no "higher" listing of PD listings than
this. If you find one that you think is higher, then tell me what
it is and I'll add it to this!

1. pdlist.txt - A file in the file section called "Public Domain"
on the Ten Minute Limit BBS (3:711/934{at}fidonet).

2. some file on the Internet called "whatis". Try looking for it
at archie-l{at}archie.mcgill.ca.

3. Project Guttenberg has a whole lot of public domain books

4.
Savetz's Unofficial Internet Public Domain Index" contains pointers to works
that are in the public domain. As clarified by Mr. Savetz: "Public domain
doesn't mean 'shareware.' It isn't a work that is owned by somebody else, who
allows you to use it for free. It isn't software distributed under the "GNU
Public License," or a copyrighted book that the author has put online. Public
domain means that the creator of the work, with no strings attached, has given
up all rights to the work. It means that you may do anything with the work that
you want - read it, publish it, put in on CD-ROM, change it."
