Sondra,
Just you mentioning the poem and what you thought you'd write about sounded
wonderful....and if anyone can put those thoughts on paper you can. Truely
all religions are much the same, as well as all people. Oh yes, I know we
could get into a debate about the differences, but I think it's more
important to relize that basically we are all so very much alike. What our
Ggranparents wanted for their children, and so on. Like one friend said,
even if it takes swinging a chicken over someone's head to make them feel
healed, to give them hope, then so be it......it's not for us to say what is
best for that person if they truely believe that such actions will heal them.
It's a rather bazzare thought to some, but no more bazzare than some people
think of others religions or beliefs. I think it's time that we came
together and started respecting whatever it is that another believes in so
long as that belief doesn't take undo advantage of those who cannot make
decisions for themselves.
Ok, off of my soapbox .
Spring is in full bloom....the weather is finally doing a better job of
staying within some boundaries. The peonies have set blooms, and I have
stuck a few seeds in the ground where I can find a sunny spot here or there.
I hope and Kay is doing well and they come back with a glowing report.
Patti
