Hi Peter,
I have used and recommend Timeguard. It certainly keeps GWE from
messing up my system clock. I just wrote the file into the GEOS20.BAT
file, which launches GWE. I am certain the same would work for NDO and
OS/2.

I have Warp 4. If you are limited in processor power or RAM, I wouldn't
recommend upgrading, and certainly not until you get a larger hard
drive. By the time everything is loaded, it wouldn't leave you a whole
lot of room for other programs/data files. You don't need to install
everything to have it functional though.
Voice functions are nice, but I don't have the hardware for them either.
I still use my old favorites though for serious work (i.e. GWE and this
Professional Point program).
I still am awaiting NDO with the GEOS 3.0 kernal. I have other machines
for my family that don't have the power for OS/2. NDO with the
communications would fill those needs just fine. I currently have three
copies of GWE 2.01 registered. That is potentially three upgrades when
the GEOS 3.0 kernal version of NDO is released.

Stephen
