No, in the Navy, you make E2 as soon as you exit boot camp 
successfully. An E1 is a Seaman Recruit, an E2 is a Seaman 
Apprentice, which is what one becomes immediately upon graduation.  
Not to belabor the point... its no biggie! I understand what you were 
trying to say.
