Hi Paul

PE> Ok, after extensive investigation, I think the problem is caused

RM> Not exactly life-threatening, just thought you'd like to know.
PE> Yes, I would like to see it fixed.
RM> While I'm at it, why does it say "M'Task: T-View" when I'm running
RM> *D*esqview??
PE> T-View is an alternative multitasking method to Desqview, from
PE> observation of the code. Binkley checks for T-View or Turbo Vision
PE> or whatever it stands for, before checking for Desqview. It gets a
PE> match on TV, so chooses that.
Odd. An earlier version of bt that I used (possibly 2.3?)
definitely identified Desqview as D-View. I use BT2.5 EE Beta on my
local bbs, and it says T-View.
PE> You have the source code, and you have borland, and the code compiles

PE> In line 142 of nodeproc.c, change 300 to 300UL.
PE> I expect that this will fix the problem without you having to change
PE> your baudrate, but it's only a theory at this stage. I haven't even
PE> attempted to run Binkley under DOS to see if the problem is
PE> reproducible here. BFN. Paul.
You scum. I thought I'd be able to make it through life without
ever using a C command line compiler. You've just wrecked a
lifelong dream. Happy?
Compiled ok under BCC 4.02, although I had to borrow the TASM from
my BC3.0 area cos I hadn't installed it in the 4 area. Ended up
with files somewhat larger than the ones in yr zipfile. Adding the
300UL altered BT.EXE size a bit too:
Your original BC4.02 BC4.02, 300UL
BT.EXE 231,582 242,208 242,224
BTCTL.EXE 26,642 45,650
BTLNG.EXE 23,726 44,468
I'll attempt tonight's connect with BTPE305_300UL.EXE and see what
happens.
Cheers
