Try a different bbs?  :)  I'm having no trouble using BW to do offline
messages either in or out at Chowdanet.  Telnet addy is chowdanet.com
and it's a well-run system with a very nice and helpful sysop.  He
carries Fidonet as well as other networks as well... :)
