Yah...  Same here.  At one point, it had become only an excuse to stock
up on the candy...   That was a good enough time to just quit
thinking we'd be a part of things...   Besides, due to all the scary
real people out there, most of the kids here are taken to private
parties with their friends, and the door-to-door tends to only be to
houses where the kids actually know the residents.  And only to houses
that are well-lit...  so to stay out of things all we have to do is not
have any extra lights on, especially not the porch lights....

How things have changed...  :)
