The echoes* by and large are totally public, as they should be. Private
mail, whether as netmail or in local message areas, is still available
to be seen by the sysop(s), and any co-sysops that have a rating high
enough to read such. But at least, it isn't open to just anyone that is
reading the area. Most bbs's have some* sort of private messaging
possible in some local area, which is why I asked about it for Doc's.

Yes, that is why the echos are so useful. :) And, why they shouldn't*
have the capability for being private. It's one of the things I miss
often in the Usenet message areas, the fact that in Echos, all answers
have to be posted where anybody can see the answers... and learn from
them... :)
