a
dog fellow, but if he were defined? Well, he loves dogs & diving.
ScubaCanine?

I have no idea why, but the very first thing that hit my head was -- I
kid
you not -- "Scubabeagle"
heaven help me if this is not his natural critter de plume, because I
have a
horrible feeling that your husband may well forever become scubabeagle
in my
head

I just think, whichever kind of critter he envisions himself to be, it's
a good thing he can stay underwater if he's going to be married to a
fish

Karen...."

It's becoming less surreal to explain to ppl about my internet friends
--
but back when we were bbs friends, ppl looked at me like I'd just
arrived
from Pluto :) My mother was three hairs away from suggesting psychiatric
help back in the day, and you do not even *want* to know what I went
through
when I tried to explain Stephane... she didn't even believe he existed
until
she spoke with him. Kees was easier, but I know she still considers
anyone
I've met online to be if not an actual, at least a potential serial
killer.
:) Funny enough though -- she took to Martin right away even though I'd
met
him online. I think it was that she was visiting when I received a big
box
of goodies from him as thanks for all my help with English for a big
presentation he had to do. It was such a sweet thing to do... mom was
impressed.

I remember you trying to explain Stephane to her I still have
trouble explaining to some of my contemporary friends how it can be that
I have friends in places I've never been, who have never been here. I
get very upset about something, like the fires in Florida "But you don't
understand, I have friends in the path of that thing!" and you get that
Tim Allen "Huuunngggghhh?"

But anyway -- as long as he isn't looking at you funny I think you're ok
:)

> emily, pooor internetless husband, insouciant grunion

poor poor man... internetless... almost hard to fathom
but he's got a trusty grunion to steer him through the reef :)

Laurie trying to imagine it Phoenix
