We had a DJ named Madman Moskowitz who would play those
promo records on his show....  But the ones he played
often came out of the "reject" pile after the main program
director decided what would get played during the normal
hours.   Some of the reject pile records got a lot of
requests!

Things like "The Ugly Song" by Bobby Yates"
   "Godzilla Ate Tukwilla" by Dave Philips
and "Duelling Dorks"
