I'm running HyperTerminal, Win95, modem set up as GVC 28800 External

Fax/Modem. It always does 28.8 connects to my regular bbs and isp

(that's the top speed their modem can do). I haven't had time to try

33.6 again. I think I change to Telix or anything that gives me

control of the init strings and does not hide the connect messages.

PL> Does this mean you are using an external KTX (GVC)?

Yes, it says "KTX 33600 bps FAXMODEM" on the box (they don't use

"baud" - however cheap and nasty the modem manufacturers know the

difference unlike some comms experts).

Strange behaviour?
