but if I'm not going to use the whole thing.....
you can also have powdered soup base on hand (some aren't so salty as the
ubiquitous bullion)....
And there are those who propound freezing your stock in icecube sized
chunks -- but that requires more forethought (and dedicated freezer
space) than I ever want to manage.
