I shouldn't have omitted BBBS the other day. I like it too although it is
different from other BBS packages and I don't know it as well as others but it
still has author support.
It has a very capable terminal mode and bterm is available (free) as well. It
will actually download files while you are browsing a BBBS, handy feature.
