 I don't think so... :) since CPU don't care about the data after it is out
 of the bus and into the UART... :) or before they come into the UART...
 and that's the place that the CPU on the modem kicks in... :) I think that
 they wanna use faster CPU for the reason that they might be easier to
 upgrade to future standards and also that the slower CPU might be
 discouninued soon...
