I'd like to learn about my Sony Camcorder's "Control-L" circuit so that I can
attempt to make a wired remote control for use in a homemade underwater 
amera
housing.                                                                      
For video editing I use "Video Director" software and their special 
ontroller
cable which connects to my computer's serial port and the camcorder thru the
"Control-L" jack.  Thru the software the camcorder can be operated as a VCR
with full control.                                                            
Since I saw a commercial underwater housing which uses the "Control-L" jack
for start/stop operation I wonder what other camera operations can be
controlled ..... ???
