I was sure that one heffer had a calf that looked too young, and knowing
that Mike's 'girls' haven't calfed yet, it naturally caught my eye while
driving home in the snow storm. It's something about those dreadful snow
drifts that like to jump out in front of you when you're not looking.
Personally, I think it was a conspiracy by the cows, and that calf was just a
cardboard cutout put up there to catch the attention of people driving by, so
the ones in the pasture on the other side of the road could throw snowballs
at unsuspecting motorists .
