I'm also using Lynx as a browser... :) The Lynx I use is on the library end though. NB> Are you doing your telnetting in Windows or in DOS? A DOS window with a DOS terminal program. The only reason I do it from a DOS window, is the ability to swap to other programs to check on the names of files or what is in a file while I am on the BBS, or "browsing" the internet. Which is why I'm curious about whether NB> you are in WIn or DOS, as it appears that Windows (which I have an NB> aversion to) is the only way to be able to do uploads in telnet. The library allows 4 protocols for download (which have nothing to do with the BBSNETS connection). Two are Z-modem and 1k Kermit. (I forget the other two.) I use 1k Kermit because my computer, in DOS window mode, locks up at the end of a Z-modem download. Since the library has a 1meg limit on file size, I have to exit out of Windows and actually do the download in DOS where Z-modem won't lock up and I can use the resume feature after carrier is dropped. BBSNETS doesn't have 1k Kermit so I have to exit to DOS if I have anything over aprox 50k to upload/download, otherwise I use G-modem (modems do error correction). I've found that too many errors creep in on files over 100k though. Apparently the satellite link isn't that good without software error correction.
