Have you ever had to back out an update?

I get hourly updates for my linux based barracuda box, mostly filter (spam
and virus) updates and as you probably saw me and blalock posting a couple
weeks ago, they are not without their problems. Because it's a fast moving
target like spam I'm willing to deal with the issues that brings but an OS
that is used for well.. everything, I don't think I'd be comfortable with
that many updates. Is there a rollback mechanism that makes it easy to back
out an update?

Geo.
