(IOW: Don't quote me on that. |-) James and Tom, I thought I found a Bargain the other day. I was over in Louisville, KY. in a store and went directly to the Clearance Section (after I asked where to find it) and saw a 4 port Powered USB Hub for US$9.95. Boy!, was I chomping at the bit to take that item off the hook it was hanging on. Then I saw it was just a USB 1.1 hub and put it back. I use a 4 port Powered USB hub on my notebook. I have 2 Powered USB hubs on my desktop, a 4 port and a 7 port. On the desktop once in a while I will Scan the HD in the XP box, the two external usb HDs and all 6 of my thumbdrives for Virus(es). I got a couple 2 GB thumbdrives that are fatter than most thumbdrives are, so I can't use the port next to them to connect another USB thingy. --- þ SLMR 2.1a #T348 þ I can't remember how long I've had amnesia.* Origin: Doc's Place BBS Fido Since 1991 docsplace.tzo.com (1:123/140) SEEN-BY: 3/0 633/267 640/954 712/0 313 550 620 848 @PATH: 123/140 500 261/38 712/848 633/267 |
