Generally, ceramic disk... I'd have to check the value, but since you're
only interested in catching RF-noise inducing spikes, something in the
range of .001 to .01 mfd would be in order.

At 12v, I don't think it would be DANGEROUS, but it would severely
restrict throttle response... not to mention negating any benefit of
an HFESC  ~8-)
