James Goldbloom was speaking to All about DIR$ potential problem?

It looks ok to me. The only part that looks a little suspicious is
this line. If your user is running on a network or with a non standard
drive compression there's an off chance NetMail2$ is not getting set
correctly.
It happens more often in my experience that there really is a coding
error in an obscure little FUNCTION or SUB that changes or resets
NetMail2$ and that's where I'd look before assuming it's a problem
with your user's setup. Of course it may turn out to be his problem,
but since he's the customer, I'd tend to fix it & tell him about it
later when he's more satisfied with your program.
