Interrupt 5ch is a front-end to NetBIOS. I'd reccomend against using it
if at all possible - it's very low-level, so quite a bit of code is
needed to get anything done. In addition, it's dependent on NetBIOS, so
it won't always work on machines that don't have NetBIOS installed.
Finally, while I believe there's _some_ front-end to NetBIOS in Win32,
you can't do it through interrupt 5ch anyway.
If at least one of the machines you're communicating between is running
Windows NT, you might want to use named pipes for your communication.
If not, your best bet is probably to use Windows Sockets. Both named
pipes and sockets are much higher level, so communicating with the other
machine will be much like reading from or writing to a file, except that
instead communicating with a disk drive, you'll end up communicating
with another computer.
    Later,
    Jerry.
