Answering msg from Bek Oberin to Bob Lawrence, on Saturday September 30 1995 at 10:52 BL>> The VB editor has a very nice trick. You type in lower case (or BL>> whatever you like), and at the end of the line, the editor BL>> corrects it to what VB wants. This means that you can tell if BL>> you've forgotten to declare a variable (it doesn't change) or if BO> I guess it depends who you are - this particular little "trick" of BO> VB's drives me completely mad. I like to organize the case how /I/ BO> want it - not how the compiler wants it... Agreed, I dislike the way that Micro$oft BASICs fool around with your capitalisation. "Real time" syntax checking can be helpful though, especially when it is just something silly like leaving out a closing bracket. I'll have to admit that it often makes me lazy though, I just keep adding brackets until it stops complaining "Expected )" The MoonRock IDE (when I get it done) will have this type of syntax checking as an option. Perhaps capitalisation too, but as an OPTION only! ---* Origin: Jelly-Bean software development.
