Bart's PE if I remember correctly (and it's a fuzzy memory) couldn't even
use all the hardware like say a USB port or memory stick or something like
that. I couldn't run certain programs, and there were some other really
serious limitations to it. My opinion was that it was just good as a repair
environment.
Knoppix on the other hand was full blown linux.
