subject: Novell Lib

I cannot say what there is different in comparison to NetLib, as I have never
purchased the library for my own personal or professional use. The reason
for the decision not to purchase the library is that I received Netto before
I even got into Novell Netware API programming.
The library is FREE of charge, and includes the source code.
In regards to functions in the library, there are a multitude of different
functions. These include functions for accounting services, bindery, file
system, file server, message, MHS, print, que, synchronization, and TTS,
just to categorize the majority of them.
Netto Novell Netware API Library 1.1 works with version 4.0 of Novell
Netware, and required CA-Clipper 5.2 (or later), and Nanforum Toolkit.
Once you get ahold of this library, you wonder why anybody would write all of
this documentation and give the library away free of charge. I have wondered
this myself and have gone through trying to figure out why. The answer is
simple.
Clipper programmers are a rare item to find, and have been for some time. I
am not saying that Clipper has been a language that never made it anywhere,
it did. The fact is that the number of programmers who write in Clipper is a
fraction compared to alot of the other popular langauges.
This library turns out to be a compilation of different routines from various
programmers of Clipper. The routines were compiled and placed in the
library. The compiling author also compiled a Norton Guide (NG) file for the
library also.
This is a "gift" from various different Clipper programmers all over the
country, or maybe even world. Needless to say, you never kiss a gift horse
in the mouth (old proverb).
If anybody likes, I can be reached via this conference OR by sending e-mail
to: business.by.design@juno.com. If anybody would like a copy of either
Netto Novell Netware API Library or Nanforum Toolkit (3.05), please send me
e-mail.
I have the Netto Novell Netware for CA-Clipper 5.2 and 5.3.
