I've tried 3 programs now and they all give the same key.  I'm sure Bob
Comer is right, its a Gateway VLK or something.  2 of the 3 programs I've
downloaded allow you to modify the XP CD Product Key.  My version of
keyfinder.exe is the same 1.41 version that you have.  One of the programs
gave me a nice list of all the product keys for all the pre-installed MS
software on my laptop, not just the windows product key.  One of them shows
all the IE passwords and even some credit card info stored on the machine
in addition to some other stuff.  Physical access to a computer and this
program and you could have all the boss' passwords.  Showing once again
there is no security without physical security.  I used to work at a
company where the COO and many other top level managers all left their
computers on, logged in, and their doors wide open, 24x7.  Not even a
password locked screen saver.  Good thing I'm honest and ethical, but what
maroons.
