Then you're reader is playing funny buggers with the message as it saves to
the file.  Using your reader, write this message to a file, then with
LIST.COM or MS-DOS EDIT, check whether this paragraph appears as one long
line wider than 80 characters, or four short lines restricted to below 80
characters.
