The Apostle John, the youngest of the Apostles, wrote five different writings
in the New Testament. The only New Testament writer more prolific than John
was the Apostle Paul.


John and his brother James were Jesus's first cousins. Their mother (Salome, I
think her name was) was a sister of Jesus's mother, Mary, and the wife of
Zebedee.


James too (not the same James the son of Zebedee, brother of John, but Jesus's
own half-brother, James) wrote a book of the New Testiment.
