I got a note when my crazy grandmother sent me a picture in a glass-fronted
frame -- in a regular paper envelope with no padding at all, not even a
piece of paper wrapped around it.
They stuck it in a plastic bag, taped it up, readdressed it, and someone had
put a note in that said something like "Meemaw must have been in a hurry to
get the picture to you, and unfortunately the glass broke." Which I thought
was terribly sweet
