(Paul Edwards > Bek Oberin) PE> Do you think it's possible to write an interrupt-driven PE> comms program using EMX for DOS? BFN. Paul. BO> You mean DJGPP? I don't see why it /wouldn't/ be possible... PE> You don't know about EMX 0.9a? It is a rival to DJGPP. EMX 0.9a also works for PE> DOS, but won't produce a stand-alone executable with no PE> strings attached. BFN. Paul. Oh yes, it's what I develop OS/2 stuff under, I hadn't figured you could use it under DOS as well until last week though when I suddenly *had* to compile PFind for DOS and my DJGPP had gone walkabout... The #OS/2 IRC channel explained how to do it, then proceeded to lead me on a merry chase all over the internet for the rsx.exe that I needed to let it run in a windoze box as well, and said program got sent to Mr X in South Australia about ten minutes before the world would have ended :) Bek --- timEd/2 1.00* Origin: The Dreamerie, Melbourne, Oz (3:632/522.3) SEEN-BY: 50/99 632/107 309 348 522 525 530 535 552 998 633/371 634/384 SEEN-BY: 635/503 513 544 639/100 252 640/230 690/718 711/401 410 413 430 807 SEEN-BY: 711/808 809 934 713/888 800/1 7877/2809 @PATH: 632/522 998 635/503 50/99 711/808 809 934 |
