Noticed in both :-)

DB>I thought you folks might get a chuckle out of this one:

DB> "Is it true that some programmers really do write comments

DB> Help Desk: Rumours do persist and it's easy to find someone
DB> who knows of a programmer who does. But to date, no
DB> conclusive evidence has been produced."
DB>                                    [INFORMATICS, August 1993, p.53]

Results in needless complications in programming languages: { ... }
or (* ... *) in Pascal, C ... in column 1 in Fortran, -- ... in Ada,
COMMENT ... . or * ... in column 7 in COBOL, ; ... in ASM,
rem ... or : ... in MS-DOS, && ... in dBase, //* ... in 360 JCL,
REM ... or ' ... in BASIC, %% ... in PostScript, COMMENT ... ;
or % ... in Algol, /* ... */ in C, // ... in C++, ( ... ) in English
and  in echomail.

No conceivable value whatever.

Regards, FIM.
