| subject: | DAC output through joyst |
Hi, Richard. RL> I'm after a routine, bios calls or hints on how to RL>output DAC signals using a joystick port. I already have a RL>C++ routine for ADC using interupt calls, (let me know if RL>anyone want's it to read joystick values and I'll upload it RL>to 500cc) but I need one to output as well. RL>. RL> Any help on how to do it or if it is imposible, would be appreciated Not possible, unfortunately. The joystick interface is simply 4 timers which are set by an OUT instruction from the PC, then run down at a rate determined by the resistances of the joystick potentiometers and some internal capacitors & resistors (.01uF/2.2k). The PC detects when they cross the lower threshhold voltage of the timer chip.
