subject: What`s `HST` mean?

Hi John,

JP>I received an incoming 16.8k HST connect today, and it was certainly a
JP>quicker handshake than a 2400 V.22bis connection. I was quite astounded
JP>at how quickly both modems negotiated.
was quick wasn't it :)

JP>I was sitting here when I received the call. It started off sounding
(typical bloody sysop :)
JP>similar to a V.34 connect, but was so quick that I can barely remember
JP>the sound now.
yeah, I was going to make note of it, but forgot :)

JP>I just had a look through my mailer log; it reveals that Paul Sanders
JP>achieved a 16.8k HST connect to my system last night.
yep s54=192 s56=192 b1 was the init string I used, and you were the
only one free with a usr v.e that I could think of to try it out with
:)

 cya later,

 Paul.
