My wife and I have flown a few times and I wonder why a fuss is made
about a blind persons cane when I see people getting on the airplabe
with snow skis and guitars and other large bulky items. I understand
that these big items are probably stored in a luggage dept or
elsewhere but wonder where the airlines have the right to take away a
blind persons cane. Canes are thin and not in the way of anyone when
put on the floor next to the passenger. I suppose airlines do not
understand what a blind person can do. In a real emergency if the
plane was in trouble and there would be no lights in the cabin most
blind people would be better at getting around because they are used
togetting around with no lights.
Yes they would do well to get their safety initiatives
