subject: ATM BACK TO SPHERE

I'm in the process of figuring a F8 6" mirror. I went way too deep.
In fact, based on my measurements, the edge zone is about 2 tenths of an
inch from the center zone(moving light source). I'm not sure how this
happened. However, I'm becoming much more confident in my shadow
interpretations since I've switch to separate coulder masks per zone. The
shadows from the other zones seemed to be bothering my interpretations of
the shadow of the zone I was interested in. However, I guess the first
thing I need to do is go back to a sphere. In order to get back to the
sphere, I've been trying a COC less than 1/3 stroke with MOT. My concern
is that my progress in getting back to the sphere seems to be very slow.
After about an hour of work, I can't discern a measureable difference and
I'm still at about 2 tenths. Is this the correct stroke to get back to a
sphere?
