Sure have.  Yes I agree.  I've had a look through some capture files 
and I have yet to find a single connect above 26400 to any BBS or 
ISP (from my side that is).

True but at last I've convinced Dynalink that my modem is faulty and 
they have agreed to swap it for either a 28800 or another 33600. 
Given that the 28800 is Rockwell based _without_ the V42bis bug I 
might opt for it.  Pity because I had great hope for my Dynalink 
when I first got it (USR Sportster clone and all that).  never mind 
we live and learn however this seems to really be a case of "You 
get what you pay for" a cheap imitation.
