   Serves to increase my urge to look in my personal archives for a speech I
once heard delivered by Dr. Ramsey Pollard, once head of the Oak Ridge
Institute in which he reminds of the almost non-existent margin of error in
which this globe on which consciousness grew into intelligence exists.  A few
miles further or nearer to the sun and what??  And still that consciousness
still contains enormous pockets in which these favored beings become certain
that their eudamonia depends upon the wholesale slaughter of disagreeing
neighbors.  If we are, indeed, on the eve of cloning of human beings, much
better success to the robots than WE have had, eh Keith?
