Ruth:
Yes, it was good to have Kurt figure out what the problem was but the sysop
still didn't want to acknowledge on his end so we couldn't get on and when
we could get on; we couldn't read the messages as they came over as
gibberish. Ugh...glad that everything is figured out for the time being.
RH>Whew! I'll bet you're glad that's over now. It was good to have Kurt
RH>help you out; I had to call in a local guy (who was a big help) who I
RH>point off of now.
Best of luck to the kids. They're both young and at this age they can
travel and see the world...if that's what they want to do. I'm sure you'll
miss Rachel.
RH>I didn't know they did Basic at DM; the main one I know of is Lackland,
RH>in Texas. That's where everybody I know around here heads. They are
RH>also somewhat interested in Warner Robbins AFB, near his family but we
RH>have no idea right now where they will end up.
Yes, I am afraid of thunder. When I was a kid; I lived in Seattle, WA and
the storms would come in the middle of the night and wake me out of a sound
sleep. I was afraid that someone was coming in the house. I slept in the
top bunk and my sister was down below so I often got in bed with her.
Sometimes I went to my mom and dad's room because I was afraid but the walk
from my room to theirs was frightening at times. I was 9 years old at the
time.
RH>I think our power is a bit less stable than yours. I just habitually
RH>shut down all systems whenever they're not in use during the summer. I
RH>*know* there were some strikes near us & don't want to ruin the
RH>electronics. Are you a bit scared of thunder? I grew up in the
RH>Catskills where the legend is that thunder is the ghost of Henry Hudson
RH>& his crew playing ninepins (read Rip Van Winkle).
15 days!!! Yippee!! I bet you're so excited!!!
RH>Thanks. We're down to 15 days now,
Oops...got my kids mixed up!!! Sorry...
RH>Rachel is out of high school; she's the one getting married.
RH>Deborah is debating going in the military after high school or going
RH>thru college and ROTC there while in the Reserves.
Yes, you do owe it to yourself to check out Crafters Express. You'll be
impressed with some of the great stuff in there. Right now I have just a
few sewing related stamps; two different quilt blocks and a stitched heart.
I will be ordering from PSX in a few months and will add some others.
RH>It sounds like it's definately worth stopping in. Right now, other tha
RH>the airport, I'm not sure when we will get up there again. What do you
RH>have in the line of sewing related stamps? I'm collecting those.
Make sure you take plenty of pictures of the dresses as I'd love to see
them. I'm sure that you're going to be more than happy that you have one
pattern for all the dresses instead of several patterns and too many
pieces.
RH>The pattern isn't as hard as it looked except for a few spots. By
RH>starting with the girl's I'll be well experienced on them when it comes
RH>to doing Rachel's. Hers is the same pattern but longer and more
RH>embellished.
Take care of yourself. No speeding with the serger.
